Little soul (our story)

Happiness – Spirituality – personal growth – What is the story of the little Soul that we are?

The little soul that we are, I will tell you its story. You’ll understand that life is an experience where you have to learn to avoid labels and judgements. In the same way, each person you invite into your life is there for your growth. Finally, every situation is a gift, and a treasure is hidden in every experience.

I was once a little soul and knew I was a light. I shone with beauty, and I knew my magnificence. As a new little soul among so many souls (or Inner Beings), I was in a hurry to experience physical reality.

So I shouted, “I am light, I am light”.

But although I knew I was a light and shouted it, it was no substitute for the experience of light. In the kingdom where I lived, there was only light, only souls as splendid as myself, shining with all their grandeur and beauty. Every soul was a light, every soul was magnificent, and every soul shone with the beauty of God.

Why, as a little soul, did I want to experience myself?

So, with so much soul light around me, I was like a candle in the sun. In the midst of the greater light (of which I was a part), I could neither see myself nor experience who I really was. There was no diversity, no contrast.

So I aspired more and more to know myself. And my longing was so great that one day God said to me, “Do you know, My Little One, what you must do to satisfy your longing?”

“What God, what God?” I replied, “I would do anything to know who I am!”.
“You must separate yourself from us, from this great light”, God said to me, “then you must invoke the darkness upon yourself.”

“But what is darkness, O Divine One?” I asked him.

Then God said to me, “It’s what you are not; it’s the opposite of you; you have to experience it to know,

Why is contrast, i.e., diversity, important for my life experience?

I finally understood that to enjoy the delights of the light within me fully, I also had to taste the darkness. If I wanted to appreciate the positive, I had to experience the negative! In the negative, there is also growth because it allows me to move towards the positive.

But in the midst of all this darkness, I didn’t know exactly who I was because I had forgotten.

Why do I have to remember who I am?

Then one day I met a soul who reminded me that God exists and that I was once a light.
And in the midst of all the darkness around me, I cried out: God, God, why have you forsaken me?”

And God answered me: “I am always faithful to you, my little soul; I am always ready to remind you of who you really are; I am always ready to take you home. So if you want to know who you are, be a lamp in the darkness and don’t curse it. If you want to know who you are, be who you are when surrounded by what you are not. If you want to know who you are, at the moment of your greatest trial in the darkness, be your greatest triumph in the light. The experience you create is an affirmation of who you are and who you want to be”.

“But God, who is this that I really am?” I asked him.

And God answered me: You must remind yourself at every moment of this divine truth of your highest reality, that you are a light.

Why can I do and have everything I want?

Years later, after I had made my transition into the non-physical, God came to me and said, “You can choose to be another part of Me, any part you want. You are the absolute divinity that experiences itself. You can be and have anything you want”.

Then God asked me, “Which aspect of divinity do you now want to experience?”

“You mean I have a choice?” I asked God.

And God replied, “Yes. You can experience any aspect of divinity in you, as you, and through me. I have given you the greatest gift of all, which is to choose.”.

“OK, God, I choose forgiveness then. I choose to experience myself as that aspect of you, God, called complete forgiveness.”

So that created a little challenge for me, as you who read me could imagine. Around me, there was no one to forgive. All that God had created was Perfection and Love. Yes, we were all created to God’s perfection.

Why can’t I, as a little soul, evolve without others?

“So God, there’s no one I can forgive?” I asked a little incredulously.

“No one?” replied God. “Look around you. Do you see any souls less perfect or less wonderful than yourself?”

With that, I turned around and was surprised to see myself surrounded by all the souls of heaven. They had come from the furthest regions of the kingdom because they had heard that I was having an extraordinary conversation with God. Everyone can have a conversation with God at any time.

“I can’t think of anyone less perfect than I am! I exclaimed. “Whom, then, shall I forgive?”

At that very moment, another sympathetic soul detached himself from the crowd and said to me, “You can forgive me”.

“I’ll forgive you for doing what?” I asked.

“I will come into your next physical life on God’s green earth and do something that you will have to forgive me for,” the sympathetic soul said to me.

Why my life experience is only possible through other souls?

“But what? What could a Being of such perfect light as you do to make me want to forgive him?” I asked this sympathetic soul. “Oh!” replied the sympathetic soul, smiling. “I am sure we can think of something unpleasant.”

“But why would you do that?” I asked.

I couldn’t imagine why a Being of such perfection would want to slow down his vibration to the point where he could do something ‘bad’.

“It’s simple,” the sympathetic soul explained to me. “I would do it because I love you. You want to experience yourself as forgiving, don’t you? Besides, you’ve already done the same for me.”

“Really?” I asked him.

“Of course. But don’t you remember?” replied the sympathetic soul.

Why are we all One little soul?

“We were all that—you and me. We were the top and the bottom, the left and the right. Furthermore, we have also been the hot and the cold, the now and the then. We have been the big and the small, the male and the female, the good and the bad. We have been through all of these things. And we have done it all together in agreement so that each of us can experience ourselves as the greatest part of God. For we have understood that… for want of what you are not, what you are is not. For want of “cold”, you cannot have “warmth”. Without “sadness”, you cannot feel ‘happy’; without ‘evil’, the experience you call ‘good’ cannot exist”, the sympathetic soul told me.

The sympathetic soul then continued: “If you choose to be something or someone contrary to who you are, it has to appear somewhere in your universe to make it possible. The people around you are God’s special angels, and the circumstances you experience are God’s gifts. Remember that everything you experience is a GIFT FROM GOD”.

Why have we forgotten our pact with other little souls?

“I only ask one thing in return,” declared the sympathetic soul.

“Anything! Anything!” I shouted, all excited at the idea of doing these experiments.
Yes, I was burning with the desire that I could experience every divine aspect of God. I understood the plan.

“The instant I strike you and chastise you,” the sympathetic soul said to me, “the instant I do the worst thing to you you can imagine, the instant I deceive you, kill you, betray you—that very instant… remember who I really am.”

“Oh, I won’t forget,” I promised the sympathetic soul. “I will see you in YOUR PERFECTION in which I hold you now, and always remember who you are. I promise you.”

And my promise that day was God’s promise to us all.

And the question for us now is: have we kept that promise to others? Have we forgiven our “worst enemies” in order to love again?

I hope you’ve understood why we’re here.
